Discovered an amazing trick that will help a lot of you other itinerant actor types.

You know how you sometimes find yourself all phlegmy, clogged up, and generally not up to snuff (vocally, at least) when you go to a new job in a new area?

The difference in pollens, allergens, whatever, just play havoc with you?

Well, pretend you know what I mean. "Yes, Don, of course we understand."

LOCAL HONEY.

It's not the name of a new band. Actually eating local honey, raw as you can get it, helps immunize you to the different things in the area you'll go to. Even better, getting actual honeycombs - which contain even more beneficial stuff - will help. The honey contains such a concentrated amount of the area pollens and airborne allergens, it's really amazing how well it works. Your body is forced to work up an immunity to it.

And the side effects are something less than those of Olestra (TM)

The run is going extra well, it's getting warmer outside, and all is smurfy.

Except I'm kinda broke. Bah.

I love to play in the snow.

I do not, however, enjoy the pointless cold of this time in the winter. There is no fun snow, only dirty iced-up remains here and there of the four-week old snow that refused to melt when the other snow did. Now what we have is a brilliantly sunny day which deceives you indoors into thinking, "hey, look how sunny! Let's spend some time outdoors!"

However, the moment you step outdoors you're the butt of nature's practical joke. Very cold it is. One day it's in the relatively balmy fifties, the next day at the same time - the teens. And we hates the teenses, as Gollum might say.

I haven't had my coffee yet. The world alters with the ingestion of that foul pressed and dripped dilution.

Counting "full-out" tech runs into opening, we did 13 performances of JCS last week. Easily the hardest week, by far.

We made it through that, so logically we should be able to make it throught the "easier" weeks, no problem.

Check out this nifty stuff with images from the show!

This production of Jesus Christ Superstar is the best I've ever seen, much less been part of.

If you can possibly see it, travel here and do it. It is really wonderful.

I don't say that kind of thing very often - but I've seen a lot of JCS and this is my personal overall favorite.

We preview tomorrow, open Thursday, and run through March 27.
